I have been a fan of Godfrey's writing since I was a young girl. My copy of her book Weird Wisconsin has seen a lot of love in its days. Godfrey's work has inspired my fascination with everything bizarre and unknown, leading me on many exciting adventures throughout this great state of cheese! That being said, Monsters Among Us is a MUST READ for anyone with an interest in this field living in the Midwest. Godfrey does a great job including sightings from across the country however, there are loads of stories originating from the one and only Wisconsin. This is probably due to the fact that Godfrey is a Wisconsin local and after-all, Midwest is best!
A few memorable scenes from the book that I can't get out of my head are as follows... A Werewolf-type creature hiding out in a sewer, night time visitors from creatures baring similarities to ancient Egyptian god Anubis, the Lizard people of Los Angeles, a frightening Sasquatch encounter in Illinois, the infamous bi-pedal wolf-men of Wisconsin and trickster creatures who refuse to be caught on camera! This is only a tiny taste of the fascinating reports the book holds within! Remember although these tales may seem stranger than fiction they are provided by credible witnesses who often times are just as confused about what they've seen as you!
This world is still filled with mystery, the truth is out there!
